HDW Evening 10 Timekeepers’ Notes

HOUNSLOW & DIST. WHS – Evening Ten Mile Time Trials
REQUIREMENTS AT START / FINISH
Personnel 1) A Timekeeper 2) A sign-on & number caller/checker person (Helper)
The timekeeper will be given a briefcase/bag containing all the kit that is required by the timekeeper / helper ie;
1) Two stopwatches on an A4 size clipboard with timing sheet
2) CTT club event signing-on sheets for up to 30 riders (two A4 landscape)
3) A list of riders who have paid for a season ticket
4) A container for cash entries (Tupperware box )
5) Riders body numbers and arm numbers
6) pencils and pens
7) a £10 ‘float’of £1 coins (change for riders paying per ride)

Also required each week, and part of the timekeepers kit are ;
8) A folding chequered finish sign to stick into ground by timekeeper.
9) A small folding table for signing-on sheet and displaying race numbers.
10) A warning sign to be placed before the start point with a single stake, and a hammer to drive in the stake.

After the finish, Timekeeper/Helper to replace all the kit in briefcase/bag and arrange for any entry money to be passed to our treasurer.

As soon as possible after the event the timekeeper to E-mail the result to results@hounslowanddistrictwheelers.co.uk and they will be put them on the club website.

If the timekeeper is not timing the following week and next weeks timekeeper is not present, take care of the briefcase/bag and arrange for it to be passed on to the next timekeeper on the rota

The Helper should arrive early to supervise signing-on, collection of entry fees & allocation of numbers.
Entry Fees ; Club Member Season Ticket……….£20 (under 18 £10)
Non-Member Season Ticket……….£25 (under 18 £10)
Member on-the-line entry…………..£3 (under 18 £2)
Non-Member on-the-line entry….£4 (under 18 £2)
Viceroy Tri-Club members : no charge, Viceroy is billed at end season
1) If you sell Season Tickets, please update the list in briefcase/bag
2) call out & write down the numbers of riders as they finish.
3) Collect numbers from riders after they finish

Also required each week and part of the timekeepers kit are :
On the course, where we cross the Windsor Rd. roundabout, towards Windlesham, two warning signs are required by the risk assessment.
One, North of RAB, to alert Southbound drivers (that riders are crossing from their right), and one South of RAB to alert Northbound drivers (that riders are crossing from their right.) These should be retrieved from behind the steel barrier and duck-taped to the keep left bollards before the event and removed & concealed again afterwards.
